This is great, I had no idea Barbie had started doing this. Far more appropriate for young children to play with and be influenced by.
ReplyDeleteMy children are young and so still largely unaffected by stereotypes of beauty and perfection. If this continues I hope they will not be exposed to the same pre conceived notions of beauty I was.
My only criticisms are that all the 'sheros' are still all a bit 'typical' in terms of their figures (I googled them and found pictures). I've not yet seen a short Barbie or a slightly rounder lady or an older character for that matter...there's still a way to go.
