im Reading the full article 95% is written in Scots dialect. I’m wondering if this is a wind up ? If not they should have just left it alone I doubt many would buy it. Then again it could be a smash hit with tourists ! Not convinced it’s not a joke to be honest
ReplyDeleteHi Ashleigh, this is definitely on the level! http://www.itchy-coo.com/ Whether it will be a good seller or just plain baffling remains to be seen.
DeleteWill it make any difference written in the Scots dialect most people have read these books anyway. I'm not a fan of the books anyway so won't be reading it. Better sticking to Rabbie Burns for the auld Scots language.
ReplyDeleteI won't be reading it either Andy! Is this an appropriate time to declare my dislike of the Bard, coming from somebody who was born and bred in Ayr? I fear that this dislike comes from always being picked, EVERY January to recite a poem and sing songs from Burns. I'm sure my mum will have some certificates somewhere 'back home' but I never really took to his work. I should hang my head in shame!
